I tooooootally agree. I love, love, love cozy mysteries and the Hallmark Murder Mystery and the holiday-themed variations on it. And the only real problem I ever have with it is sometimes I don't find the characters relatable or likable enough (they can be a bit bland and upper-middle-class-suburban in these kinds of stories) so fandom pastiches are even more excellent.

I mean...everyone hated those people at the time of their killing of children. Dany just didn't get a redemption arc.

Also, people were also concerned about the whole killing an entire city thing while saying it wasn't a bad thing.

I wrote the Carry On secret a few months ago and I'm happy to see more here with these characters (even if OP didn't like the book).

Once I heard that the book had a cliff-hanger, I wasn't in a rush to read it, but I will eventually. *shrug*

All I really want are Simon/Baz makeouts. Maybe book 3 will be better?

And I feel bad about it too. I do think that people should give the benefit of the doubt to anyone who reports a crime/wrongdoing, but if there is actual, real evidence that they are fabricating, it is understandable for people to stop giving them that benefit.
