Just for kicks, write a story where your MC fantasizes about being an actor. Most people outside that world imagine it to be far different than it is, and your descriptions of its reality could create quite the conflict. Or, have a minor character encounter a film producer or screenwriter, possibly needing their expertise in some matter. One of your characters could have a sibling who lands a role in a film or a TV show, and some plot point in your story brings the characters to the set.

Once you get used to using your own personal experience in your writing, you might find a way to draw on someone else's experience.
