Because Dany didn’t sacrifice anything for them.

The only reason her dragon was killed was because she was rescuing Jon.

Tell me again, why did Dany have to rescue Jon? Oh, that's right, because the only way Jon could convince Dany to help was to fetch a White Walker to secure a ceasefire with Cersei. Because Dany refused again and again to lay aside her ambitions to do the right thing by the kingdoms she wanted to rule. FFS, even Stannis understood that helping the realm was more important than pursuing the throne. There was a lot of carrying around the Idiot Ball for Jon, Tyrion and Dany with regards the wight hunt, but it was all for Dany's personal ambition, because she didn't want to lose any ground to Cersei. Which, you know, is fair enough. Any person would be reluctant to postpone something they dedicated their whole life to getting when they're so close to it. But don't make out like Dany was so incredibly selfless the whole time, and the Starks not kissing her ass was some kind of moral failing.

Because Dany didn’t sacrifice anything for them..

The North sacrificed for Dany too. They died by the thousands to help stop the White Walkers and secure the safety of the realm Dany meant to rule.

What Jon SHOULD have done is help Dany take King’s Landing first and then stop the white walkers after with their combined forces.

Why on earth should the coming of an implacable supernatural army that's threatening all Westeros take a backseat to nobles jockeying for the Southern seat of power? Especially since the whole point of the independence the North fought for is that they no longer want to be involved in Northern politics because it brings no benefit to them, only harm. Those are some priorities, lmao.

SA They no longer want to be involved in Southern politics, that is.

(Anonymous) 2019-11-23 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
Because they’ll be stronger with the forces of King’s Landing added to theirs?

(Anonymous) 2019-11-23 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
That's presuming they have the time to remove Cersei from King's Landing and mobilize their forces before the White Walkers arrive. And presuming they win. And presuming they don't take heavy losses even if they do win, which means they'd be fighting a tireless undead army with crippled forces. The White Walkers were a potentially world-ending threat. Cersei isn't.

I mean, she was able to take King’s Landing with one dragon, imagine what she could have done with three.

Yes, but there was no guarantee of that. Look how easily Euron's navy defeated Yara's, or how easily he took down Rhaegal. An existential threat to all Westeros is more important than Dany sitting her ass on the Iron Throne.
