I mean...everyone hated those people at the time of their killing of children. Dany just didn't get a redemption arc.

Also, people were also concerned about the whole killing an entire city thing while saying it wasn't a bad thing.

What? That isn't true at all. He felt guilty for what he did (and the rest of the Lannister family did) to the Starks before seeing Bran. That was the whole reason behind giving Brienne Oathkeeper.

And they were right. Fans were already turning in her because she spent too many seasons saying she was going to take the iron throne but not heading to Westeros. And all of your examples had redemption arcs, Dany didn't. And we didn't see any of them do anything on the same scale as burning Kings Landing and everyone in it. Cersei comes closest and she isn't exactly a fan favourite.

Dany was too busy freeing slaves, and then helping Jon and his ungrateful siblings defeat the white walkers.

Freeing slaves, crucifying innocent people, then abandoning those slaves to be taken right back into slavery because she just had to rule Westeros.

Good on her for helping deal with the threat that would have WIPED her out as well as everyone else. And did she really help? Her shitty Dothraki got themselves killed immediately. Her dragons did shit all to help.

Not sure why you think the Starks should have to kowtow to her? Sansa didn't agree to giving her the North in exchange for help. Dany heavily implied that if the North (who had painfully fought for their independence) would be wiped out if they didn't bend the knee for a foreign queen with nukes.

Oh, she also kept trying to fuck her nephew after he clearly didn't want to have sex with her.

LOL, this sad old refrain by Dany stans. The White Walkers weren't solely a Stark problem, or a Northern problem, they were an everyone problem. If they'd wiped out the North, they would have come for the rest of Westeros. You know, the realm Dany wanted to rule. It was in her best interest to help stop the White Walkers too. Not that she did much in the end. Hell, her damn dragon was responsible for so much of the destruction the White Walkers caused.

And I like how you frame this as the Starks being ungrateful, like they didn't have cause to resent Jon giving away the independence their family and people fought and died for, just because Dany gave him a chubby.

You know, I'm not convinced many fans turned on Dany. I think they turned on the creators more, because Dany's burning King's Landing was some out-of-the-fucking-blue nonsense bad writing.

It really wasn't out of the blue. We did an office pool at my work. Out of the 30 people that participated, 14 of them said Dany would go Mad Queen on everyone.

Me too! King's Landing isn't even the first city she seriously considered burning to the ground, so I always thought she had it in her, but I thought there would be more build-up, you know?

She just seemed to go dracarys on a bunch of people for no discernible, or logical reason. I still see people debating what she thought she gained by killing a good chunk of King's Landing's population like that? Especially after she already won so completely.

Having not watched the episode, I choose to believe she did in fact aim for the Keep, and by doing so ignited the wildfire Cersei had strategically planted around the city, thus pinning blame on Dany for the destruction of King's Landing while giving Cersei the final moment of mad genius and victory she always wanted.

You're not doing a very good job of making Dany fans look reasonable. I'm sure there are a bunch of sane Dany fans on f!s who really wish you'd reel it in a little.
