I mostly agree. If nothing else GRRM actually cares about the characters to a degree and isn't thinking "we need to finish this because we've got this other big project to work on now!" - the fact they were offered a full season for the finale and didn't take it will never not annoy me.

I say I only "mostly" agree because I feel like he's written himself into a corner by having too many threads on the go and bringing those threads all back together is obviously a problem for him. I expect if he ever does finish I'm setting my expectations to moderate-low and anything else is a bonus.
