On one hand, my first instinct is to blindly defend anything Yu-Gi-Oh, but on the other hand- that's a pretty big complement given what the dub was actually like...
Since I grew up with it I'm not as opposed to it as I normally would be. The name changes are pretty good given the time it was brought over and that fact it was dubbed by 4Kids. If only in the instance of Jounouchi, since Joey is a pretty good match for the name. (I say in probable denial) With Malik, Rishid, and Isis, they were actually forced to change their names from what I can recall. The season fell around the time of 9/11 so the dub was forced to change their names to sound less middle eastern or some racist crap like that.
