130. I feel the same way with fanfiction. It's like if one person's gay, everyone is gay, and I just don't get it. I know it's fiction and not real, but it just irks me.

Yup, that's what I was thinking about, too. Either everyone is gay, or totally supporting of the idea of other people being gay, and while it's a nice scene, it just doesn't strike me as realistic. To be honest, I would love to see a fic set in one of those stories with lots of attractive guys running around (like Ouran, or Fruits Basket, or Saint Seiya) where only *one* of them is gay, and is totally afraid that the others are going to have a problem with it.

Personally, with me, it's because I have a ton of OTPs for a single series, and don't like unrequited stuff. Not everyone in stories I write is gay, mostly because I have het and femslash ships too (though... that's still gay, strictly speaking XD), but some people just really like slash pairings and there's not really anything wrong with that.

And strictly speaking, when I write Ouran fic ~~in my head~~ I usually run along the lines of Tamaki/Kyouya/Haruhi (OT3 with a girl in it! but still... pretty way, when you get down to it?), Hikaru/Kaoru, and Mori/Hunny in the background. I ship other things but that's like... my default setting. XD I don't see why I should limit to OMG ONE PAIRING PER STORY when I ship all those things, just because it's statistically less realistic for all of them to be in relationships like that. It's statistically less realistic for any of them in that setting to be gay, but that shouldn't necessarily influence the things people like to write/read.

... I may have just addressed way more than you actually said. I apologize. ._. Derp. BASICALLY, IT'S MOSTLY JUST 'COS WE SHIP THINGS AND THEREFORE LIEK WRITING THEM. :B
