I'm more concerned with other people's right not to be hurt, objectified and belittled. I wish people would stop acting like their right to have an opinion somehow excuses them from any responsibility to be in the slightest bit considerate to other people.

well, i never said i wasn't mean in the secret. i admit that the secret was harsh. but it was my opinion directed at how mc looks because of what she does to herself and how i felt about it. it was directed at her in the mindset that she does not have an eating disorder. and again, i admit being mean about it and not realizing that it would hurt other people who are naturally skinny and for that i'm sorry. and i'm not saying i'm any better than people who make fun of fat people. i prefer full figured women to boney women, that's just me. i wasn't shoving my opinion down people's throats and telling them that i'm right. it was just a secret to express how i feel.

I do understand where you're coming from in that it's atrocious the extent to which women get judged and put down for being not skinny, but hate of any kind, even if it's against something that doesn't usually get as much hate as the other end of the spectrum, never solves anything, just upsets more people.

Thank you for apologising, and I'm glad you do realise it was mean; I just wish more people would think about these things before they voice them in a public space where they're going to hurt people and state their personal preferences as though they're somehow objective or universal >__<

And ... well ... seriously? If she's starving herself, then it's an eating disorder :C

it wasn't an on-going thing though and it was the way she said it, so freely like it was a normal, okay thing to do. i was just pissed off at that and i admit i didn't think about who i would be hurting. :/ my personal preference is obviously not universal, but i do apologize for making people feel bad.

Dude, talking about it like it's a normal, okay thing to do is definitely disordered D: I can understand how you'd be angry about that – I for one am very pissed off indeed that anyone thinks it's okay or admirable to starve oneself thin, but I'm angrier at the society that treats people's bodies as public property and demands everyone conform to an unrealistic ideal of beauty than I am at any one woman who's been made to feel that starving herself is okay.

i was just more pissed off at myself for ever admiring her because after she said that, i was ashamed that i ever looked up to her. i admit i took my anger out on her looks a bit too harshly. but i agree with you, i think it's wrong to treat people's bodies as public property and demand they look a certain way especially such an unrealistic idea. i'm not going to tell her what to do with her body, but i was just angry that she did what she did because she was someone i looked up to and thought the world of. :/
