I don't understand this secret

Most people don't fit neatly into a Hogwarts house. Hell, even the characters in Harry Potter didn't. Harry was definitely part Slytherin and Hermione would have done great in Ravenclaw.

To shoehorn people in to a Hogwarts house, usually part of their character development is ignored, to make them fit better. For instance, Captain America is brave and courageous, so that would make him an obvious candidate for Gryffindor. But he's also a leader, resourceful, intelligent and values justice, which come from the other three houses.

By simply labelling him a Gryffindor, it shows that the writer is focusing more on his brave and courageous traits, and probably going to focus on him being the all around good guy. Depending on the houses of the other characters, it'd give a good insight into the opinions of the writer, and what character traits they were likely to ignore to make them fit the mould better, and probably indicate whether you were likely to enjoy their work.

Sorting completely unrelated media characters into Hogwarts houses (which are themselves irritatingly stereotyped)creates OOC portrayals. Seems fairly obvious to me, although OP's use of "aesthetic" is admittedly potentially misleading.
