Yeah, I made an American mistake, I know she's UK "middle class." I did some cultural translation, lol. My point remains the same tho. She's not lower class, at all, and she's clearly not considered spoiled.

That said...I'm certain you're right and "pureblood" is also an awkward translation to muggle upper-class, and that's why you have a whole bunch of fics where Harry and Neville are like Lord Potter and Lord Longbottom and Lord Weasley for Arthur, and the Wizangamut is basically the House of Lords, but i gotta say that's one more for Rowlings confused cultural allegories.
