The second comment on page one is butthurt about how these opinions make the poster have no self esteem. The comment right below this one boohoos about discrimination. Isn't this the internet definition of butthurt boohoos?

By the way, just so you know - people have these things called feelings? Yeah, it's perfectly normal. They let 'em out on the open and stuff. Sometimes it facilitates greater understanding and allows people to develop enough social skills to be confident in attaching their names to their words. I know you've been trained to believe this is "emo whining," but you might want to, I don't know, look into that or something.

While I do think that people post anon over the most ridiculous and cowardly things, it's much better to tear 'em down based on what they said.

...It's Fandom Secrets. If you want to use your own account that's your choice but considering that all 53 secrets were posted anon and so are half the boohoo comments... I don't think I should have to unanon any faster than anyone else.

It's easy to say this shit behind anon, but it takes true guts and courage to say it with your name backing the comments. Hiding behind anon completely nullifies the comment you are trying to make.

My point was that I think fat people cosplaying look gross. It's an opinion, so it doesn't need a source to validate it. You're going to disagree whether I use my LJ login or not, which is your right, but neither the lack of name nor someone disagreeing with it makes an opinion invalid. Nothing can. That's the difference between an opinion and a fact.

So... the fact that the OP posted a secret that is basically only them being a jerk and saying things that are hurtful to other people, and this has been backed up by the fact that other people's feelings are hurt, just makes you support the OP more? How special are you, seriously?

I support the OP more now because I empathize more now. Like the OP, I am afraid to express the same opinion because I know I would be attacked for it. That's been proven here. The similarity of experience creates empathy.

If someone had posted saying, "Jews shouldn't cosplay," and got verbally rebuked for it, it wouldn't prove anything about the attackers. The original statement warrants negative response.

And yes, I know Jews and fat people aren't the same. But fat people are still people, and you're still the asshole for saying what they should and shouldn't be allowed to do. You have a right to you opinion, but it's still a dickish one.
