It was cool and sad to see how she perfectly understood where her place in the pecking order was, and it really made me want her and her friends to get away from the Horde too. I mean this will likely happen since Horde Prime has gotta go and Hordak is probably uh, a bit dead, but I was totally rooting for that trio to just fuck off in their car/van thing after the episode they were stuck in that forest for.

Agreed! I've always wanted nice things for Kyle (primarily in the form of growing up to marry Bow), but Lonnie and Rogelio really won me over this season, too, and I want them all to find happiness and peace wherever they go.

I also agree with you on Scorpia. I still love Catra, and I still ship her with both Adora and Scorpia, but her treatment of them -and everyone else around her- was just getting worse and worse as time went on, and Scorpia was fully justified in calling her on it and then walking away. I feel like now Catra's finally starting to realize that she's lost everyone. Not just Adora, not just Entrapta, or Kyle, Lonnie and Rogelio, but Scorpia. Patient, loving, gentle, and unfailingly loyal Scorpia has left her, and now she's stuck with no one else left to blame. I think (hope) that this will be what starts her on the path to redemption, and eventual reconciliation with the people she hurt.

I want the same for Glimmer too, because holy shit did she fuck up pretty hard this season. I thought it was brilliant the way she and Catra were increasingly framed as being two sides of the same coin, and I hope that now that they're stuck with each other on Horde Prime's ship they can work together to fight against him and maybe help each other heal and atone in the process.

And then there was the Double Trouble sucker-punch.

On the other hand, Shadow Weaver's "oh, ok, we'll just let you have the garden" felt mostly unearned. I'll be a bit pissed off if Catra gets her redemption arc after multiple episodes of emotional hell, while Shadow Weaver gets to groom Glimmer as crazy magical auntie without much in the way of consequences.

Yeah, as much as I love Double Trouble, their sudden-but-inevitable betrayal was ice cold and hard to watch.

I sort of agree with you on Shadow Weaver, too. I do think Glimmer is entirely too trusting of her, but I think that's mostly out of her twin desires both for power and to prove herself. Shadow Weaver's blatantly manipulating the fuck out of her partially by offering her ever-more of the former and partially by encouraging her to push herself further and further in an effort to do the latter. Not to mention that she's taking advantage of Glimmer's grief over her mother by acting as a surrogate maternal figure, just as she did with Adora during their Horde days.

She's also only slightly more subtle than Double Trouble in her efforts to undermine Glimmer and Adora's relationship. She just keeps giving Adora reasons to be paranoid about her motives while at the same time encouraging Glimmer to doubt or be suspicious of Adora's opinions on everything. It's no wonder they had such a vicious falling-out at the end there. Anyway yeah, if the Shadow Weaver situation isn't at least briefly addressed next season, I'll be very disappointed, but I'm still holding out hope that she's going to face some repercussions from Micah if no one else. He's got a bone or two to pick with her as well, after all.

After the third season I said something in a tumblr post about how no matter what side Shadow Weaver's on, she's still finding new ways to fuck over Catra. Well, this season she seemed more focused on tormenting Adora, but the fact that she's living so comfortably and holding so much power and influence over Bright Moon (and by extension the entire rebellion) while Catra's out there basically destroying herself and all of her relationships trying to win the war and finally beat Adora is kind of a "fuck you" as well.

I absolutely love Catra but she is such a difficult person to like, and while it obviously sucks for her I was so happy that everyone finally left her and stopped putting up with her shit(and in part enabling it). This is where Catra pulls herself back up and actually tries to better herself, because she has to realise now that she's been the problem all along. As harsh as Double-Trouble's words were, they were needed.

I am SO interested to see where the Catra+Glimmer interaction goes next season because the two of them are so similar it's going to be fascinating to see how they do or don't work. And I agree wrt Glimmer as well, girl fucked up Big-Time this season and more than anything I just want her and Adora to sit down and talk to one another. :(

I want Adora to get more hugs by big swole women. Yes, Adora as a type, and everyone's noticed.
