I'm sorry for your loss. My mum loved christmas too, it was a month long decorating, baking, wrapping, singing season. The first one without her was actually a big mess because she was the one keeping my argumentative family in line and it got nasty real quick without her there. I don't celebrate the day with family anymore, but I try to catch up with some people one on one and I send gifts for the kids.

However you decide to celebrate or not celebrate christmas now is up to you, and there's no wrong way. You don't have to figure it out this year. Just be kind to yourself.
