There's a lot of animosity over this ending. There's no point in saying it's been eighteen months when you seem as angry as any embittered Harry/Draco shipper.

I also think you're missing the complaint - specifically that Hermione wasn't ever being referred to i nthe text as anything but a mother, when she was in fact a successful career woman. The complaint is not "Successful career women can't have children," but instead "Women with children can be successful career women." At least, that's the way I see it.

Thank you, that is exactly what I was talking about. The entire focal point of the epilogue was that everyone had married and had kids, and mentions of their careers were at most only passing thoughts.
