We'll just have to agree to disagree here, anon, because I found the longer plotlines tedious (and Babylon 5 did it way, way better). TNG is my favorite Trek.

Yep, and longer plotlines and complex characters does not necessarily equate a superior show.

I put up with this with the fans of the sequel of one of my favorite games- oh, it's superior because *complex characters* when I find the extra dialogue and long cutscenes tedious.
