Tom Cruise is not only white, he's rich and has had decades to establish himself. Those are major advantages he's got over this actor.

He had major roles in 4 films in 1983 when he had only one of the three advantages you've listed. Which one was it?

A bit of a stretch to call some of those "major roles" and only one of them is a film where people still recall. Cruise is playing high school kids, where height is not yet going to be a big casting challenge.

I'd say being the lead of a billion dollar Disney remake beats every single one of those movies in terms of fame AND money, but at that point in their respective careers, I suppose you could say they're doing comparably well. Cruise will go on to do even better, in terms of acting roles. Massoud hasn't had that chance yet, so it's a bit soon to say that he's losing.
