(Anonymous) 2019-12-26 02:21 am (UTC)(link)In fairness or Orlando Bloom, it is suspicious that another POC character also got the boot (the one who played the jinn). And as was posted above, he also did some writing for the show in the previous season.
So while I could understand the argument that Anasi wouldn't be in S3, it kind of scans as a bit of a fig leaf when the only people getting laid off are not a whiter shade of pale.

Tbh the whole American Gods production has been a complete shit show from day 1 which makes it more plausible.
