So because it used to be worse we can't expect better? We should just sit here with scenes that can be easily edited out for conservative audiences and be fine with that?

If you don't care then that's your opinion and you are allowed to have that, but those of us who want more than 30 seconds that can be literally erased from the end-product without issue are also allowed to have our opinion and to expect better.
