Well...I shipped Palpatine/Anakin for a few years. I was in a weird place. But yes, don't want to think about it. Wouldn't he have had to already be Emperor when it happened in order for the timeline to work out? Ew.

I don't think that works given Rey's age, how young the son looks in the flashbacks, and given that the ST takes place 30+ years after the OT and much longer than that after the PT.

If 20 years pass between Eps III ad IV that's about 50 years between Eps III and VII, which means if Rey's parents were in their early 30s it could work out.

If not, hey, if you're the Emperor you get what you want.
