re: Dracula, I was interested, but then I saw the usual same-sex ship teasing that borders on queerbaiting and Moffat outright saying Dracula is ~bi-homicidal~, not bisexual, scoff bluuf bluuf how dare.

Oh, ew. Okay, never mind about Dracula then. I like Moffat's Who stuff myself. Favorite part of Who. But that's just not cool.

I'm sort of on the fence on his Who stint, but Sherlock burned me bad (I wasn't TJLC or anything, but the "gay-teasing" was too much to the point of actually being kind of offensive and holy shit S3 and S4 were bad), so I was already pretty tentative about Dracula.

I guess at least he spared me from getting even a tiny bit invested?

Honestly, I don't get Doctor Who showrunner hate, since every season had good stories and bad stories.

A season with 1 good story (and all the rest bad) is not as good as a season with 1 bad story (and all the rest good), for starters

and seasons have emotional through-lines now as well

On the balance, Doctor Who has been better than most other TV. But DCU didn't get death threats for being almost entirely unwatchable.
