Go and watch it :D (You don't have to get involved in fandom, you CAN just watch it - not that I would know but... well).

I would not reccommend this BUT you could even start with Season 4 because they practically gave the show a whole new face.

Yeah, I'd probably start with season four and if I loved them so much I wanted to see what happened before, I'd go and watch the previous seasons. I will definitely do some research - would wikipedia have enough info, you think?

Yes, Castiel is an angel, and he's the most badass, awesome, and strangely adorable angel EVER. And the actor that plays him is AMAZING. And it's worth catching up on SPN just for him. fhjsfhjskfsdk I am a pile of squee.

Just FYI, Castiel has been said to be the name of an angel already--they didn't make it up. Uriel is also on the show now.

Nice mix of humor, things that go bump in the night(or just the plain ol' razorblade in the Halloween candy) and deliciously codependent boys that angst and manpain all over the place \o/

(and I've never gotten why people think SPN fandom is that bad. As long as you practice some common sense when it comes to the flist, there is only crazy of the good kind. Plus, wicked talented writers!)
