I don't make secrets about it, but I have gotten into discussions about fandom's I'm barely in. I'm usually scrambling at fact checking just to make sure what I'm saying isn't totally ridiculous. It goes better than talks about fandoms I'm actually in, since then I only go by memory, which isn't always completely reliable.

Some fandoms just have so much content (like ten seasons of show or a prequel book series) that I never feel confident to talk to other people about them because I don't know everything even if I do really like what I've seen.
