I like it the usually written way, but I like it that way too. I just like D/s, it doesn't matter to me who tops or bottoms. I've found that in pairings where the dominant character is shorter than the sub character, more often they are written with the sub topping because tall topping short is just as much a common trope as dom topping sub is. In the Kylo/Hux fandom, for example, there are quite a few fics where Hux dominates and orders Kylo to top him.
