I think Yennefer with a baby would be a complete disaster.

That said, I find her motivation... plausible with what we see of her early days. Fertility is something that she cannot achieve on her own, and she doesn't like feeling out of control.

She's done hella more stupid things than seek a fertility cure, in the cause of feeling "in control".

In short, she's an angry mess of a woman who makes dumb choices and I love her so much for it.

Agreed. I got the impression (I think it was even part of a discussion) that what matters to her is choice. She wouldn't have chosen it if she had a choice, but as soon as you take the choice away, she wants it.

(This is also why she's so angry at Geralt about the resolution of the situation with the djinn.)
