Oh, you misunderstand. I don't give a shit that I don't have any long term goals. I'm just tired of people asking me for them.
Sometimes they get quite aggressive too, as though me saying "my goal for this program is to complete the program and get the certification for it" is some terrible affront against them.

How about "my goal is to get through this class/term with passing grades"?
