(Anonymous) 2020-01-20 11:02 am (UTC)(link)I could spend hours and days knitting and get no fun or profit whatever out of it for exactly the reasons AYRT cites as frustrating about games - ergo it is a waste of *my* time that I could spend doing things I really enjoy.
It's not hard, honestly. And yes, I am pissed. One more chippy gamer in a long, long line, does that to you.

(Anonymous) 2020-01-20 02:04 pm (UTC)(link)Seriously? Can you take your time out, and then read back through the comments without throwing an absolute tantrum this time.
Sabotabby mentioned how they thought videogames took a lot of effort to get the hang of, and that it'd suck up a lot of their time to get to the point they could play them well.
Anon responded to them, asking how videogames are any different than any other hobby that takes time to become good at.
Sabotabby responded to them that they already had several hobbies, some of which are very time consuming and would no doubt need to be worked at in order to for them to become good at.
I was confused by this as they completely dismissed what the anon had asked, and how the hobbies they listed all fall into the reasoning they gave to describe why they didn't like videogames. I straight up said that nobody was trying to make them change up their schedule or to start playing videogames. I was just curious, nothing more, nothing less.
You might have a point though... I mean, how dare I casually mention that videogames could possibly be used as a form or entertainment. To think I could come across as chipper, or, god forbid, express interest in a hobby of mine. Such blasphemy. I'll be sure to purge all checkers, pong, and mahjong from my phone right this instant in penance!
