Happy Martin Luther King Day, FS!

Today I woke up late, stopped for coffee, and then went to the office for a few hours. I'm now preparing for my ridiculously busy day tomorrow.

Tomorrow I have 4 hearings, 1 meeting with other attorney and client, 2 meetings in the evening I'm leading, and a brief and file that are due tomorrow morning.

I think I'm going to go to bed early.

Also, I have a sinus headache so bad my teeth and eyes hurt. I have more work I need to get done tonight, and the tilenol isn't helping.

Woke up like an hour before I had to be up for work with my whole body aching and chills/shivering (couldn't get warm even under two comforters) and a sore throat/cough. I haven't taken off work in over a year so I felt guilty about it, but I just felt too damn awful to go in. I ended up spending most of the day sleeping/laying in bed. At least the chills stopped but I still feel horrible. I'm supposed to be off work tomorrow anyway and my boss says she doesn't mind if I stay home Wednesday, too, so I'm going to just try to rest as much as possible.

I'm on Day 2 of a 3-day weekend, and I'm watching the NBA triple header and having a couple of Coronas! Earlier today I had a hair and mani-pedi appointment. I got azure blue glitter nails and apricot creme toenails; they turned out beautifully and I can't stop looking at them, lol. I'm gonna Doordash some Middle Eastern food for dinner tonight and getting a side of falafel, and their absolutely delicious chicken and rice.

College friend in town so we got lunch and I'm now two beers in

Mostly sat around and read, took a shower, also napped a bit. All my joints hurt, which happens sometimes and is always annoying. My knees, I get, because I’m fat and walk a lot and stand most of the day at work. But my elbows? Idk.

Took the bus to a shopping center and wandered around Home Depot, then left without buying anything because I still have things to plant from my last nursery trip, went to a middle-eastern market and bought fruit, veggies, and flatbread, and came home. Gonna go put my hens away and take a walk, maybe go to the grocery store and get some small pyrex containers for work lunches since most all the lids of the ones I have are borked.

Playing WoW with my sister right now. It is very confusing. I had to work. :(

Drowning in homework, but I'm almost done with it, so yay~!

Had free movie passes and a free evening, so I went to see 'Knives Out' with my sister. I hadn't been to that particular theatre in over a decade and was very impressed with how they renovated it, every seat had a leg stretcher. We almost missed the start of the movie since the weather has been a mix of snow and rain lately, and ice and snow were basically glued to the truck. (plus it's basically impossible to clear off properly since I have a hard enough time reaching around the back, let alone scraping off the top of the cab)
I could barely shovel around the driveway because my asthma, mixed with the cold, made it nearly impossible to breath. (I think I might be coming down with a cold too;;) I almost thought I was having a heart attack because I couldn't catch my breath and my heart started racing like crazy, I think it was really just me panicking at how quickly the weather got to me and the possibility of missing the movie because of it.

We arrived less than ten minutes before showtime with the truck half scraped, so we ended up not having to rush through buying the ticket/grabbing some popcorn!
The movie was great. For some ridiculous reason I got it confused with 'Murder on the Orient Express' so it took me a minute to remember which murder mystery movie I was actually watching;; I loved it though, can't wait to watch it again! I'm still wheezing and I'm having a hard time breathing, but at least I'm in a good mood regardless!

I found Kylo Ren even hotter after I realized that he looked like Mozenrath, my childhood crush from the animated Disney cartoon.

The scene where Alice is lost in the dark forrest in that Disney movie gave me the creeps as a kid

I find obnoxious male characters a lot more attractive in a malexmale slash pairing

After being cheated on by my ex husband, I find t.v. or movie plots involving cheating way too upsetting to watch.

I sometimes read piccolo/gohan fanfics just to see people headcanons on namekian biology and culture. I don’t really ship them but fanfics with this ship are basically the only ones that explore it.

Kurama/Hei was my favorite yaoi ship when I was younger. I find the fanfic cringey now

Fandom has always been a safe space and escape for me. I've reached a point where I know I'm spending too much time online and it is interfering with my real life. But I'm scared to get help because I'm scared I'll have to give up fandom altogether. And fandom has helped me through the worst parts of my life. Plus, fandom is awesome. I don't want to give up my happy place.

I only read cherick fanfics that have disabled Charles.

Saiyan biology is the only way I find mpreg tolerable.
