I think it's "How I" which doesn't make grammatical sense. Like a thought interrupted.

I think they accidentally the word 'change' or 'adapt' or some such before 'how'. (Actually, giving another look, I think they may have accidentally put 'how I' OVER the word it's meant to follow.)
