You should keep your view to yourself and don't inflict other people pain because of it. If you can't change yourself, you should at least stop yourself from hurting others with it, especially when you realize it's wrong.

I meant, by all means, be frank with your friend, alienate her, show her what your views are. She deserves to know how you really feel about her so she can make an informed decision on whether to stay friends with you or not.

I was refering to voting on Prop 8 by keeping it to yourself. Don't vote yes on Prop 8 simply because it's your opinion that it's wrong. Your opinion should not decide people's futures, lives and basic human rights. Echoing technophile above there; opinions shouldn't be prioritized above those.
