It's not unrealistic to be unhappy about someone leaving.

I love Ten lots, but I'm really excited to see who's next! I only hope that they manage to wrap up his personal story line properly before he goes.

Of course not -- I mean, my mother says she still misses "her" Doctor, and it's been a few decades since he left the show. But saying that it feels like a betrayal or a "punch in the gut" or that the show is ruined for you forever is... a bit much, when the fans knew going in that the actor playing the Doctor changes regularly and Tennant wouldn't be around forever.
