Yeah, if it's spelling and grammar errors, I can definitely see why you wouldn't want to put your name on that. I edit the absolute fuck out of my stories and I greatly value my beta readers assistance in that, so for someone to disregard the time they spent fixing it is a bit of an insult. To the readers as well who have to slog through something the author didn't care enough about to polish. I suppose they just want compliments at that point and they expect a beta reader to give them more in depth praise. I don't necessarily follow all of my beta reader's wishes, but if they're pointing out a problem in my story, then it's probably still a problem whether they can properly articulate why or not.
