I normally get quite irked when people compare bad books to fanfiction in terms of quality - as in, "this book reads like a fanfic". It rubs me up the wrong way, even if they qualify they mean bad fanfic, because even the worst books I've read don't usually give me that vibe - professionally bad as opposed to fandom bad, if you like.

With that said, Forbidden by Tabitha Suzama reads like bad fanfic.

S!A, blanket CW?

Does the secret maker need to put a CW for incest in the secret if the book talks about it but the secret doesn't make mention of that element? I'm not sure. I'll put it here just in case though ^^;

i've read meh books that read like mediocre fanfic, as in the pacing and plot just aren't there and the characters are paper-thin, but i've never read a published book that was as bad as the truly bad fanfic i've seen in my life-time.

bad books for me are mostly just boring. bad fanfic is fucking unreadable.
