I care way too much in the history/lore of fighting games ( like street fighter, mortal kombat, king of fighters and tekken). I know that I’m doing it wrong, because people do not play these type of games for the plot but I’m just too invested on those characters.

I know your pain all too well. Mind you I focus on one of those games because King of Fighters and its predecessors Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting are my jam and I really like the characters, the lore, the backstories.

There are some with pretty interesting plots though so I totally get it. My favourite for plot is the Guilty Gear series. I'm too rubbish at 2D fighting games to actually play it and gain any satisfaction from it though.

I liked Tekken better before the whole Lars thing but Tekken will forever be my nostalgic favourite.
