I mean. Versus was Nomura’s baby. He was leashed by square for years and wasn’t allowed to talk about it and he had to watch Square basically change his entire vision. Noctis is one of Nomura’s fav characters to draw and said when he was finally allowed to draw him for Dissidia NT he teared up. I don’t blame him for being mad and petty. He had to watch his pet project be scrapped and cobbled together from broken pieces to the point where it became in name only because they wouldn’t allow him to have any input. And to add insult to injury, FFXV is basically a laughing stock about how it’s an unfinished incomprehensible mess from development hell.

The only upside to this is that Square probably realized their mistake and decided to give him full reign to do wtf ever he wants with taking the story from versus and subplanting it into KH. Although now he has Disney overlords to worry about.

Pls note I have no doubt Versus probably would’ve been just as much as incomprehensible mess because Nomura is a bad fucking writer but I get why people are mad with the results of XV. ALSO ALSO, square has been making bad management decisions with mainline FF since like 13 (maybeeee 12 if you wanna push it) so none of this should really be a surprise.
