I’m fucking ecstatic that they’re back and I was thrilled to get tickets for their tour. I used to worry about getting old, but after hearing about people my age who have died due to illnesses or accidents, I’m starting to view my oldness as a blessing. A lot of the dancing in K-pop is pretty good, imo, or at least no different than anything else you'll find in the music industry. Calling it all soulless and whatnot is a pretty unfairly generally speaking. I can get why you'd get annoyed at seeing it under every tag though.

Keep your responses sympathetic, but short and repetitive, i.e. "Aw, that sucks" "So sorry to hear that" and "That sounds really rough". Or maybe do that and change the subject. You can try to be subtle about it if you value this friendship, but the key question I'm wondering here is... does your friend reciprocate by being a sympathetic listener when YOU need to vent?

If she doesn't, I'd dial back this friendship.
