Anal is my favorite sex act to read about, and I definitely miss it if there isn't any in an E-rated slash fic. I guess on some level I do feel like it's the ultimate sex act for my ship to engage in.

I know elevating penetrative sex as somehow more intimate or more serious than other sex acts is a heterosexists perspective, and in reality I don’t believe it’s inherently more intimate or serious than other sex acts.

But in fiction I still kind of have that mindset where I just want my ship to “go all the way” (and I also just find the idea of penetrative sex hottest, even if for many people, in reality, other forms of sex are just as good or better).

Me too (well, anal and oral). Doesn't matter if it is M/M, M/F, or M/M. Doesn't matter which position I'm imagining myself in. I'm just really obsessed with anal.

This is 100% me, even coming from a personal place of not really enjoying penetrative sex. Reading about it so intimately written and layered in fantasy just makes it so good, and I always crave that build-up to the "real thing".

I like anal fingering almost as much, though, admittedly. I really like the idea of the bottom being the total focus at that moment, relentlessly taken to pieces. Hng.
