I like how the special edition actually fixed the ending! After Shizui hugs Wei Wuxian's leg it cuts to his and Lan Wangji's uh... instrumental duet at that Gusu pond and that "That's just like you" dialogue, pretty much implying that they went on living in Gusu together.

Oh nice, I didn't know that there was a special edition. That ending makes a lot more sense than the original.
