This is confusing on a lot of levels. Someone who wants to be a voice actor got a role in which he voice acts, and you hate it because… he's popular on social media? Memey voice guy gets job doing voices in Borderlands, a series full of memey characters and memey voices… and that's somehow off-brand in some way?

Tbh I find nothing surprising about this, it's Borderlands. It'd be weirder if some professional theater actor got it because they did Shakespeare

I'm really sorry you were disappointed, but I'm not sure this qualifies as "queerbaiting" and I'm also not sure what you expected. China is a notoriously conservative country in some aspects, and showing an explicitly homosexual relationship was never on the table, period. I think most people knew that going in, and I regret that you didn't. This show was also never advertised as BL. Quite the opposite.

Personally, I loved the hell out of it even without explicit content. But if the only reason you wanted to watch it was the BL, then yeah, you're better off looking for something else.
