107. Am I the only one who never thought of Nami as a bitch? Srsly?

I think it depends on how you look at the word. If you look at it in the completely "wow, she's a terrible, nasty hearted person" kind of way, then no, she's not, and I totally disagree with anyone who calls her that.

If you look at it in the "she can have a major attitude, but is really strong and does what she needs to do" kind of way (which is what I THINK the OP is doing) then I would say that definitely fits her.

I hope the latter is what the OP meant. Anyone who thinks Nami is the former probably hasn't read much One Piece!

Yeah, I'm very familiar with both connotations of the word, and I can usually pick out which one someone is using. You'll probably still get people telling you that THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE, but I'm all for the reclaiming XD

I guess I should have put quotes around the word in my secret. I suppose I was more railing against the idea that a woman can't be tough and assertive and liked at the same time. Nami makes me feel like I can be. We're both 'bitches' and proud.

I wanted to use it in a take-back sort of way. Y'know?
