131. Seriously? It's a tad beyond lame to allow other people's opinions and takes on something shape your own. If you liked the character before, why not just go back and play the actual games? When I'm not fond of what a certain part of fandom does with a character I like? I find another pool to play in with people who see things more along my views, and keep my own interpretations above all else.

Don't hate the game, hate the player. Ha!

It's very lame. Honestly, if you're THAT easily swayed by other people's opinions and actions, you have larger things to worry about than disliking a video game character.

I'm sorry, your mention of me having larger things to worry about has prompted me to go see a psychiatrist, as I am easily influenced by what people say. Clearly I am unwell.

It's not a certain part, it's all of fandom. There is no escape.

And believe me I hate the players too.

So... go back to just playing the games and don't touch the fandom. At all. It's perfectly possible to do. I don't really have any interest in the fandom (beyond one or two fans who make me laugh because they're awesome) and I still love the games.

Exactly my point. There are tons of games I enjoy but wouldn't touch the fandom for with a ten foot pole. By staying out of it, I save my fragile mind from corruption and I spare the fandom my irrational annoyance and complaining. Everybody wins this way for sure.
