Are you actually giving up time? You said in your 'free time' you like to 'imagine' stuff. If you can imagine and *also* drive to the store or whatever...well.... I'd say you're not doing much harm.

I guess it's all about if you feel like you're getting the things done you need to get done, and you're not neglecting things. I didn't get the sense from your secret that you are, but only you really know.

Imagining and having a rich inner/fantasy life doesn't necessarily mean you're screwing up or neglecting your 'real' life.

This. I make up stories in my head in the inbetween times when I have a spare moment during the day and then as I'm going to sleep at night. It doesn't have to interfere with life.

I know you're trying to help, but I have a lot of things I need to do with my "free" time and I can't devote the majority of it to fandom. I know that having a rich inner fantasy life isn't necessarily fatal. I've always had one. I'm just a little alarmed by how much of that time is spent on one fandom, and also that fantasy/real life balance is something I've always struggled with.
