Yeah, I agree - all the tapes proved is that they were mutually combative at least to some degree. There's NO WAY he would've been radio silent about this during the original trial if there wasn't some truth to it because his team was certainly using everything else they felt would be damaging against her during that time. His own former employees said he was abusive so I believe he was.

Their relationship was clearly an absolute train wreck and it would not be surprising at all if some of his behavior was abusive, as well as hers. HOWEVER, everything about the way Heard came across in that recording gave me the impression she was the manipulator and the bully in their dynamic.

Depp, IMO, did not come across as manipulative or bullying in the least. He came across as desperate, fucked up, and…kind of weak? I don’t mean to emasculate him, just-- he came across as the victim, to me. The one who believes he needs to keep stripping off pieces of himself to fix their relationship.

Have you read the infamous Rolling Stones article about Depp? Everything points to him basically being in a massive downward spiral because years of Dionysian excess on such a level that even Dionysius would tell him to cut back, takes its toll.

I don't know...I can believe that they were just in a toxic relationship, but given the amount of evidence Heard has gathered, it seems likely she's telling the truth. She's got photographic, audio, and visual evidence of his violence towards her, along with affidavits from friends of Depp, members of his security, and police officers.

I remain somewhat skeptical regarding his claims, since Depp has made claims in the past, only for others to come forward and say, "Yeah, he got hurt while doing this stunt for this movie." Plus, it seems too easy how quickly people are willing to jump to Depp's defense, the instant he presents one photo or recording, while denying the exhaustive amount of evidence Heard has presented.

For the record, male victims of domestic violence are often dismissed and ignored by society, which is a problem that needs to be addressed. At the same time, the victims of domestic violence are overwhelmingly female and the perpetrators are overwhelmingly male. Also, I roll my eyes a little about the "Because he was a man, no one took him seriously!" argument. It is technically true, but let's not kid ourselves into believing that women who accuse powerful men of abuse, are automatically believed and given support by society at large. Women who accuse powerful men of abuse can look forward to being humiliated, threatened, and face having their entire lives picked apart by people looking for any excuse to dismiss their claims.

Idk even discounting the abuse against each other, Depp assaulted a crew member in a fit of anger and trashed a hotel room while in a fight with Kate Moss and Heard has previous allegations against an ex gf. Also the people they willingly associate with are shitty too (Marilyn Manson for Depp and Elon Musk for Heard). Doesn’t sound like something noncrappy people do, they’re just so shitty that together they become absolute train wrecks who never should’ve been with each other.

The thing with him allegedly punching a guy was also pretty sketchy if I remember correctly and even then, someone who is at the time in an abuse situation with their partner snapping in a high pressure situation isn't exactly unheard of. And trashing a hotel room is not even remotely on the same level as assaulting a person.

Wow sounds like you really think that even though she admitted she lied the taps are pretty clear and Johnny is the one suing her for 50 million in deformation and he was the one with actually physical evidence when she faked hes but okay cool keep victim blaming because you don't like that they do drugs , and that he is a man. Seems it could be both but you do know drugs are an addiction and it's hard to stop also she got him fired then proceeded to railroad him when she has the history of abuse with 2 gfs the evidence is laid out in many filing when they broke up they paid and then she defamed him only then did he sue so please get a new topic I am sure everyone is over it
