Yeah this. He sucks and she sucks too. Thats the nature of toxic relationships and they both sound like train wrecks who never should have gotten involved with one another and both of them need help.

Idk even discounting the abuse against each other, Depp assaulted a crew member in a fit of anger and trashed a hotel room while in a fight with Kate Moss and Heard has previous allegations against an ex gf. Also the people they willingly associate with are shitty too (Marilyn Manson for Depp and Elon Musk for Heard). Doesn’t sound like something noncrappy people do, they’re just so shitty that together they become absolute train wrecks who never should’ve been with each other.

The thing with him allegedly punching a guy was also pretty sketchy if I remember correctly and even then, someone who is at the time in an abuse situation with their partner snapping in a high pressure situation isn't exactly unheard of. And trashing a hotel room is not even remotely on the same level as assaulting a person.

Depp and Heard reached a settlement in August 2016 (divorce filing was May 2016) and the divorce was finalized in January 2017 - the punching incident would have been during the filming of City of Lies from December 2016 to May 2017.

He was arrested in 1989 for assaulting a security guard. He was arrested for causing damage to the hotel room in 1994, but the charges were dropped after he paid nearly $10,000 (over $2,000 for the damages). And if someone I was with started smashing furniture during a fight with me, I would see that as scary and violent. He was arrested in 1999 for brawling with paparazzi outside a restaurant.

Now, you can decide for yourself how you view him, but I believe he has violent tendencies and has for a long time, which means I'm very leery of him (like I am of Russell Crowe). That doesn't mean he wasn't abused by Amber Heard.

So because he wasn’t dating the people he assaulted that means he’s not likely to get violent with her as well? Jesus the loops ya’ll are jumping through to justify his violent behavior.

Hitting someone is wrong no matter what. It doesn’t matter if it’s a stranger, a family member, or your spouse. You don’t hit other people. And Depp and Heard have BOTH done it. They’re both violent shit heads and it’s not that hard to believe they’d be willing to treat each other like that if they’re willing to assault literal strangers/get violent in their environment.
