Non-controversial secrets.

I think Breaking Bad is a great TV series.

I don't like when the final episode of a series is a cliff-hanger.

Oh, I'm sorry but I really love that

Seconding this. Especially when the show doesn't know if it's going to be renewed and ends up being canceled with no conclusion. Sucks so bad!

the Beatles are still my favorite band, I don't think that's controversial

Kinda controversial.

I'd say it's a bit controversial. Probably not controversial if you're in a room full of sixty-year-olds, but otherwise...a little controversial at least.

I browse AO3's tags for my favourite tropes and read fics featuring them in fandoms I'm barely familiar with.

I literally just did this! Unfortunately I only found like three fics I was interested in reading, but hey, that's three more than what I had before!

Replace tropes with kinks for me...

Elnor in Star Trek:Picard is absolutely adorable, and I expect him to become the new fandom bicycle.

I keep forgetting he's a Romulan and not an awkward elf.

I am here for everything about Awkward Australian Space! Legolas and can't wait for them to fill out his character.

G'kar from Babylon 5 is one of the best written and best acted characters ever. He's inspirational to me and I don't think any other character will ever hold a candle to him in my eyes. I don't really ship him with anyone, he's not that kind of favorite character. I just love him and admire him and think that just everything came together when it came to him. I don't need fic because canon already gives me everything I need.

There is nothing wrong with being drawn to or interested in villain characters. Villains when done right are great explorations of different extremes. And actors often get to have fun with those roles, and it shows. Plus, evil can be sexy in a fictional context.

I like shows that combine arcs and episodic formats. There are different ways to do this and I think different places along the continuum can work well. But I think in general having a mix is best. Shows that cut out all "filler" end up losing characterization that they might get from a few one-off episodes. But at the same time, if a show remains episodic, it is hard for the audience to really see growth and change in the characters and their world.

Ha, I know someone who feels the exact same way about Londo. I always liked G'kar more though, but both are amazing characters. Their combined arc is phenomenal.

When I'm bored, I read Fandom Secrets posts from years ago. B!S: I love it when secrets predict the future or are hilarious in hindsight. For example, recently I found a secret about hoping the HIMYM series finale bombs. I wonder if OP was happy or regrets wishing that.

Often I read mystery novels mostly for the characters (especially in a series with recurring characters) and not for the mysteries themselves.

I like to make my own opinion on characters by their action rather than rely on the narrators dialog about who they are.

Re: Based on #5

Maybe a little controversial? But not controversial enough that I feel like it actually deserves to be a secret.

I think Timothee Chalamet is impossibly beautiful. He's so compelling to me that I haven't watched Call Me By Your Name or Beautiful Boy because I'm pretty sure both would wreck me in one way or another. I just have no defenses against that dude.
