Big Ranma fan here. How is Shampoo OOC? She challenges people to death matches, gives weird advice, etc. etc? Though I have not been watching her as closely. Why are those characters on that list while people like Kanda remain off of it?

I am a big Berserk fan, but haven't watched Gatts closely other than from what I've seen posted in entries and RPs. Unless there are other RPs I am missing where Gatts is going around doing anything besides being destructive, immature, dickish, and brash on the outside, then..I am confused.


But I'm still incredibly confused on the Shampoo thing. I actually really love the Shampoo there. What is she doing wrong? She's very IC in Paradisa, albeit she doesn't have potions to work with or a Ranma to fight over, at the moment, so she seems perfectly in character.

It seems like the entire top half of characters listed are fine, while the bottom half are the ones I could say are OOC. But then again, if this person is not calling out a few characters there whom my friends and I blatantly laugh at for their horrible OOCness, then maybe they really don't know a thing or two about characterization, themselves.

I thought so. I didn't see anything OOC, compared to the entire D Grayman and half of the KH crew.

Wait-how is Rainbow Brite OOC? I'm trying to figure this out. Isn't she just spouting about love and rainbows and telling people they are being cranky or bad when they are ...being cranky or bad? How much in depth can you get in Rainbow Brite before you have to expand upon her?

I won't understand the Lois Lane thing. And all of your characters seem fine, though some are from fandoms I am unfamiliar with (I do not know where that zombie man is from who was stitching himself back up, and I care not much for Naruto anymore so Orochimaru could have drastically changed since Part I).

Kanda, Ravi...I have not seen the Yuugi or the Yami blatantly screwing like rabbits, though their romance could be interpreted as OOC, but then again anything not canon could in that sense. Zuko and Katara remain individually in-character, but poorly constructed as a couple (not painfully so, though).

You will probably know who I am, soon, since I probably will be dropping my characters, and thus, the game, because I am getting bored of the OOC-ness of a lot of the characters. However, the funny thing is, it really isn't any of the characters that were listed up there (save for perhaps Naruto, but then again I disagree with how most of the Naruto cast is being portrayed there, especially Team Seven in general).

I suppose I was just ready to agree with a Paradisa rant on the OOCness of characters, and found myself rather annoyed that ones were attacked that are not going around doing m/m fluffy boykissy logs. Do not even get me started on the recent developments of some characters, or let's say, the Bleach characters (Chizuru and Tatsuki aside).

Lois Lane is about as IC as you can get for being from the first season, and I've watched so much Lois and Clark in the last season that I'd probably know better than anyone.

I agree though, like...those names up there aren't anywhere near the worst.

And dude...I didn't even know anybody knew who Lucien was, let alone there being enough of his character shown for him to actually be "OOC". lul

Just out of curiosity, as his player, where is Ravi being blatantly OOC? This isn't because I want to get huffy and insist that I'm right or anything. XD;; I'd just like to know for future reference so I can try to fix things. I was hoping that I was steering clear of being OOC, even if I agreed to something like Kanda x Ravi.

I'm going to OD on Valium now that someone doesn't like my Gatts, but isn't attacking ..other characters there that I know. :( My death will be their fault.

Let's see, UM.

1.) Being a dick to everyone.
(Check. Post-Eclipse behaviour;
re: telling theresia to cut herself and kill herself and meet her parents in hell;
re: telling jill similar things before finally being soft with her like, at the last minute
re: locking Caska up, dragging her around on a leash; etc.
re: ..every other thing ever. He only softened up toward right before the Eclipse, or has this person only watched the anime? that would explain a lot :( where Gatts' entire character is drastically changed)

2.) Threatening to blow up Paradisa/find a way out no matter what/not giving into fate
re: him every chance in canon he gets to shout how much he doesn't accept destiny and blah blah and go against all odds typical hero stuff

3.) Him killing a bunch of people
re: berserker armour

Other than that :( I kind of..really haven't done anything else with him? Except make him be semi-friendly but mistrusting of Griffith, and readily snapping on him as soon as he got all freaked out.

Gatts is fine. You know I'd tell you if I disagreed with your characterisation of him, but I don't. He's the kind of guy who can grab someone's boob to shut them up and call someone a homo and tell someone to kill themselves, but then cry because his father hated him. I think you portray him as a realistic, well-rounded character that's true to canon.

LOL Yeah, seriously. I'm wondering, is it because he is sexist? Because he uh, kind of canonly is. He doesn't like seeing women hurt or raped by furry demon things, but other than that he refers to women as bitches and spoiled like..every two seconds in the manga. XD

And then I thought to myself "Hm, is it the angst?" But he kind of..angsts..every two seconds. And it is never a self-pitying angst, he just gets really bitter over how things used to be and struggles with uh. Stuff. I don't think I'm playing him OOCly at all, I just want to hear some examples considering I've only had like. ??? Uhh...3 RP logs? NO WAIT TWO. Only two. And the rest has just been him yelling at people in his entries for giving in to Paradisa so easily :|

You know, if my character was up there with a list of tons of characters I think are deviating from canon/OOC up there, then I'd worry and have a hard time thinking "It's them, not me." But, because half of the characters up there are just fine (seriously, attacking rainbow brite, lois lane, and shampoo? Shampoo and rainbow brite are crack characters to begin with. Lois Lane is very IC. I see maybe two up there I agree with and that's it. Axel and Vincent are fine to me, too, wtf?), I really think this person just needs a hammer to their RP nuts.

AND IF YOU ARE READING THIS, ANONYMOUS, I CHALLENGE YOU TO A CANON BERSERK DUEL. COME ON. I'll give you simple trivia anyone who has read all 31 volumes of the manga should know. *makes gang signs* WHUT?
