Watching it again actually made me want to see more of her! The movie is perfect on it's own, but pointing some suspicion on Fran would have been great, imo. Even if it was only to show some of her interview with the detectives. She was the one to find the body, and her suspicion of Ransom (plus her opinion of the rest of the family) would have been a great 'neutral' perspective for the audience to consider alongside the rest of the narrative. I tend to pick up details a little backwards, so maybe my interpretation wouldn't pan out so great, but I just love it when mysteries do their job by leaving me wanting to know more!
