Where the fuck is shipping mentioned in the secret? Is shipping the only reason to like a character?

Maybe for some people it is. Maybe that's all they care about in fandom.

NAYRT but in any fandom I've ever been in, the only reason I personally ever engaged in fandom (as opposed to just enjoying the media on its own) was for shipping.

Obviously not the only reason people are in fandom, but it does tend to skew very heavily (in my experience) to shipping.
