I'm grateful that my job is making us work from home because I know it's the right safety measure, and I'd much rather be inconvenienced and bored than sick... but FUCK this is inconvenient and boring. I work so much better when I can communicate in person and don't have all the distractions of being at home. And I'm sick of being cooped up inside. I want to be able to go out and do things again. I feel selfish for being so grouchy about it, but I was on the verge of tears the other day.

That sounds rough. I'm sorry. Can you talk to management about at least communicating on Skype? Not in person I know, but maybe it would help a little since you could have a video? Can you still go out when you aren't working? Or is where you are living on quarantine? I'm sorry things are so miserable for you right now and I hope it gets better soon.

I'm not quarantined, but we're "strongly advised" not to go anywhere that would put us within two meters of another person. And where I live is pretty crowded, so that's hard. I've been stepping outside my house just for fresh air, and going shopping, but that's all.

And my company is too big for me to talk to anyone who'd be able to give me permission to use Skype. I contacted the management by email asking about coming in to pick up some of my work supplies, and they gave me some blah blah about needing special permission and too many people making personal requests to be able to ask about that. Meh.
