Tbqh, I'm a raging lesbian and vaginas smell unique. And good. So uh, I'm into it. But I definitely get where OP is coming from and honestly, literary wise, the descriptions hardly work well. Noting there's a smell without describing it in detail is fine enough.

IA same here - lol I've yet to come across genitals that 'smell like roses' or 'taste like honey/some sugar-based stuff that would probably indicate some kind of medical problem or lead to a yeast infection'.

Yeah, arousal absolutely has a distinct scent. Pheromones are a thing that exist. But that doesn't mean you need to go into detail describing it, just an adjective or two to indicate that the character is aroused is good enough.
