If you complain bitterly about people not liking your original art, but loving your fanart, I'm gonna assume you're not very bright.
Fanart is for an existing fandom. You are trying to build a fandom from nothing but a few character sketches and some rambling in the tags! Of course only your mutuals give a shit!

I don't give a shit about K-Pop. I don't hate it, I've listened to and enjoyed K-Pop songs in the past, but K-Pop as like... a phenomenon? Nah.
Also, stop posting your fucking fancams every-damn-where. No one likes that. Just stop.

[Also also, the idol industry is a horrible exploitative mess that chews people up and spits them out and like four K-Pop singers suicided last year, can people please just remember that?]

I've seen people who create original content say, "Don't tell an artist/writer that their work/some aspect of their work reminds you of something else, it's rude and mean", and I have no time for that shit. Your work is not a flawlessly original perfect pearl, dropped directly into your hands from The Tree of Totally Original Ideas! You made it from other things you've seen and read, just like every other creator in the history of the universe!
[Also, I'm gonna be honest - I've seen this mainly from people with... I'm not gonna say 'less original' ideas, but their thing looks a L O T like something that already exists.]
It doesn't have to be plagiarism, just two people getting the same idea, but please accept that your brain isn't as wonderfully unique as you want it to be.

It doesn't make you a bad person for wishing death on someone. I don't condone violence and would never hurt or kill anyone but wishing someone who abused you* would randomly drop dead of a heart attack doesn't make you an awful human being.

I like to read about and write about two pretty men going at it, sometimes violently, kinkily, or questionably (re: bdsm without a million rules). And I'm not gonna tailor my writing to suit people who don't like that.

I hate all of the new slang I keep finding on the internet. I used to not mind the new slang words, but the latest batch is all like nails on a chalkboard. "Thanks for the food," "That really slaps," "With your whole chest," and there's more but let's just stop there -- I want to throw something at a wall whenever I see one of those. Can't tell if it's because I'm getting too old for any new slang or it's just a bad crop this time around.

I'm on a tiny rare ship in my fandom and was hoping for more people. Now there's someone new but they keep spamming really trashy content and mow I just want to be alone again.

So I sort of started 19 (yes, really nineteen, not a typo) different fics for an old fandom I'm new to. I'm probably never going to finish and post any of them but I have so many ideas and I'm having fun.

I'm currently contemplating patching two of them together, but I don't know if the result would be pleasant to read because one is very angsty and the other is just straight up fluff of them buying a house near the sea and being cute together. I wanted them to have some happiness after the angst and I think it could work but I don't know if the tone shift would be too much.

I'm determined to use my corvid-19 'workplace is closed' time to make progress on the sequel to my Hannibal fanfic. It's all in my head, I just need to get it out on the page! It's going to be the final story in a trilogy.

I'm trying to do fan art for some fan fic I really like.

One of them is just a oneshot, but the idea for the image just slammed into my head so hard that I had to at least sketch it out - the protagonist gets questioned on his sins by a knife-wielding lunatic, and reveals that he basically doesn't have any, because he's just a really nice bloke who wants to do right by other people.
I want to draw him as a sort of personification of all the seven 'Christian virtues' - the four cardinal virtues (prudence, justice, temperance, and courage), and the three theological virtues (faith, hope, and charity) [don't @ me, I know those aren't actually mirrors of the seven deadly sins, it's just for fun]. I like playing with symbolism, and all of the virtues have been portrayed as women before, with various symbols that distinguish them, so I'm basically seeing how many of those symbols I can stuff into one picture. It's fun!

There's another fic I want to do art for, which is much longer but has a couple of scenes I just *adored* - the protagonist is contacted in his dreams by his soulmates, but only when he's *dying*. The writing in those scenes is just magnificent, I so want to draw little comics of them, but I've never done anything like that. Mostly I'm just trying to work out where I left my Sandman comics, because when it comes to visual depictions of the weirdness of dreams, where else would I start?

My super small, obscure fandom only has a handful of fics and none for my ship, so I'm thinking of writing one, but I have so many ideas I don't even know where to begin. Crack-y AUs, weird crossovers, super sappy domestic fluff, dark fic, etc.

I also have an original fic that I'm trying to write, but I can't figure out what I want it to be. I've written a whole bunch of short scenes but I keep coming up with different ideas. I really don't think I can fit them all into the same story and have it make sense, but I'm not sure where to go from here.

Basically I'm much better at coming up with ideas than I am at actually writing about them lol.

There's a Supernatural AU that I started last year and got too busy to work on. I'm thinking of finishing it now since I'll have at least two weeks of nothing to do. I also started working on a Thasmin fic. I'm trying to make it all cute and fluffy so I'll have something happy to read while I'm worrying about how I'm gonna pay my bills.

and wanted to respond.

I have no problem with people pointing out a popular M/M ship isn't canon, and I have no issue with people not shipping something because they just don't see any chemistry or the character dynamic isn't one they like or whatever, that's fine. It's when they're offended at the idea of the ship because it's two guys, and guys need to JUST BE FRIENDS and THERE ARE ENOUGH GAY PEOPLE ON TV ALREADY that it seems like it's based on homophobia, and that's when I have an issue with it. (Thanks to the person in the comments who understood what I was trying to say!)

So I'm trying to find one of two things. The chemical formula for salt water (how it would be written out) and/or an image of the salt water molecule.

For the formula, i have two options:
NaCI + H2O
Na+ (aq) + CI-(aq)

The image I'd like to find would be something like the ones here - just simple lines, black and white. I just can't seem to find one for salt water.

Prepared vs. Paranoid

At what point does it stop being prepared and start being paranoid? I honestly can't tell right now. I know that everyone in my family is high risk, and I've been super careful and mostly quarantined myself inside.

But I was supposed to have an appointment with my allergist on Monday to do allergy testing. And my mother has insisted I cancel it and wait to reschedule until after the whole Corona thing has passed.

This is a doctor's office that is taking all the necessary precautions recommended. And I've been careful about hand washing and sanitizer.

This feels to me like it crosses the line to paranoid. This is a doctor for crying out loud. But maybe I'm not being cautious enough? I don't know. I'm just tired and frustrated.
